The nativity scene is sculpted in linden. It is entirely carved and finished by hand. The figures are gracefully stylised and the composition remarkably simple. However, the influence of traditional Italian nativity scenes is still noticeable.

The complete set features 14 wooden figures: Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus in manger, ox and donkey, shepherd, shepherdess, child, angel, the three kings, sitting sheep, standing sheep, stable with star. The nativity scene is packaged in an elegant wooden box. The set comes with a complementary pouch of perfumed wood shavings to complete the nativity scene.
